Lucas Mosher wins Athlete of The Week for second time

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A Horseheads football standout continues to run the Blue Raiders to the top.

For the second time this season, Horseheads senior running back Lucas Mosher has earned the 18 Sports Athlete of The Week sponsored by Simmons-Rockwell Nissan. Mosher was a force again in the backfield for Horseheads in a huge 42-6 road win over Elmira last week.

In the game, Mosher rushed for five touchdowns and racked up 169 yards on the ground for Horseheads (4-2) who beat the Express on their homecoming night. Last Friday, Horseheads cruised past Corning 35-14. Next up for the Blue Raiders is a road game Friday night at Vestal (3-3) with a 7 pm kickoff.
