ERIN, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A house was destroyed during a fire in Erin over the weekend.

According to Erin Fire Chief Dave Cedar, a fire was reported at 240 Fairview Road in Erin at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. The house was destroyed during the fire, and only small portions of the walls were left standing.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured while fighting it. Cedar says the home’s occupants are now staying with relatives.

The New York State Fire Investigation Team was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
