Elmira, N.Y. (WETM)– We have another chilly day in store for the Twin Tiers. Can we expect these fall-like conditions to last? Details below:

TODAY:

We are grey and chilly again today, but less rainy. The lake effect machine is on and keeps us mostly cloudy throughout the day, with a chance for isolated showers and spotty drizzle in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures today remain chilly, with highs in the upper 40s.

TONIGHT:

The Lake Effect keeps spotty drizzle around this evening, with isolated showers likely picking up overnight. Otherwise, we are partly cloudy throughout the evening. With lows tonight back in the mid-30s, we could see higher elevations transition to a rain/wet snow mix overnight and early tomorrow morning.

REST OF THE WEEK:

The lake effect keeps isolated showers and cloudy skies around for tomorrow, but high-pressure returns with sunshine and warmer temperatures for the end of the week. We’ll likely remain sunny and quiet into the start of next week.
