Police: Car flips into ditch in Town of Ashland

TOWN OF ASHLAND, NY (WETM) — A driver trying to pass another car in the Town of Ashland lost control and wound up in a ditch on the side of the road Tuesday afternoon, the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Police tell 18 News that, around 3 p.m., a male driver going east down Wilawana Road in the Town of Ashland was trying to pass another vehicle when he lost control and flipped into a ditch.

The driver of the flipped vehicle was taken to Robert Packer Hospital to be treated for unknown injuries at this time.

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office says all lanes are open.
