‘Park in the Park’ stargazing and learning event to take place in Erin

ERIN, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Chemung County Environmental Management Council is hosting a family fun event full of stargazing and learning on Saturday.

Park in the Park will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Chemung County Park Station Recreation Center in Erin at 2 West Beaver Pond Road. The event is free to attend and no payment is required for parking.

Throughout the night, families can enjoy stargazing with local astronomers and learn about nighttime creatures, such as bats and spiders, before Halloween. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and items to make smores along with them to the event.
