WellNow in discussions with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — After it stopped accepting Excellus BlueCross BlueShield insurance at the start of 2024, WellNow Urgent Care confirmed they are actively engaged in discussions with Excellus BCBS on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

WellNow dropped Excellus BCBS due to what they felt were unfair rates.

Excellus says they had contract discussions with WellNow in good faith to keep them in their network. These discussions included increased reimbursement, but they said WellNow rejected their offer.
