Body found near river in Whitney Point

WHITNEY POINT, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – New York State Police are currently investigating a death in Whitney Point.

On October 24, at approximately 11:47 a.m., police and EMS personnel responded to a fishing access site across from 2677 Main Street in the village of Whitney Point for a report of a dead body.

According to police, a 35-year-old male from Whitney Point was found dead along the riverbank.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police do not believe the public is in any danger.
