    Endicott couple arrested after alleged Bath domestic, drunk driving incident

    BATH, N.Y. ( WETM ) — An Endicott couple was arrested following an alleged domestic incident that police say involved drunk driving with a child in the car.

    Carrie Bowers, 45, and James Bowers, 58, were arrested on Oct. 18 after police were called to a reported domestic incident at Kwik Fill on West Morris Street in Bath at about 4:30 p.m. that day. According to the Village of Bath Police Department, the pair were involved in a domestic dispute in a moving vehicle, entered the village, and parked at Kwik Fill.

    Police say Carrie and James Bowers were drunk at the time of the dispute, and a 15-year-old child was inside their vehicle.

    Carrie Bowers was charged with aggravated DWI with a child (a class E felony), DWI (a misdemeanor), first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (a class E felony), and endangering the welfare of a child (a class A misdemeanor).

    James Bowers was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration (a class A misdemeanor) and endangering the welfare of a child (a class A misdemeanor).

    The couple’s charges were read in CAP court, and they were released. The child was turned over to a third party.
