The Great Escape camp is underway at Lake Lamoka

TYRONE, N.Y. ( WETM ) – Great Escape On The Lake is a camp for kids of all ages to play some board games, LARP, or just do some fun camp activities.

This camp starts August 21 and will last until August 25. Tickets are $15 for Wednesday through Saturday. Sunday tickets are only $5, but there won’t be as much to do since the camp will be closing up that day.

There are cabins to sleep in, but there is also space to sleep in a tent or in an RV. The cabin is $25 per person per night or $125 per person for the whole event. Camping in a tent, camper or an RV is $30 per tent/camper/RV or $100 for the whole event.

There are meal plan options as well. Kids from age 0-4 eat for free. Kids from 5-11 eat half off. The meal plan for Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner is $195. You can also choose to make your own food.

This event is supposed to be a nice and relaxing way to be a geek around like minded people.

“It’s a board game convention and geek adventure camp, and the goal is to be a family friendly camp that’s open to all ages. We’ve got kids from young to much older and way here, like me, and really it’s to create an affordable place people can come hang around their various interests,” says Great Escape owner Kenneth Yentzer.

Great Escape also has a couple stores. You can do escape rooms, buy board games, or just nerd out.
