Ten agencies respond to grass fire northeast of Box Elder
MEADE COUNTY, S.D. - A grass fire that broke out northeast of Box Elder burned 20 acres before it was contained. At 10 a.m. on Monday morning a fire broke out in a field off of Kettleson Loop. 10 agencies responded and were able to contain the fire around 11:30 a.m. The fire is being referred to as the "Kettleson Fire"

Police: Woman used gas can to set car, tree on fire
Sioux Falls police say they arrested a woman on Sunday morning after she set fire to a car and tree in northern Sioux Falls. Police spokesman Sam Clemens said the woman poured gasoline from a canister onto a car in the 800 block of North Prairie Avenue before setting it on fire. She then allegedly lit a tree on fire near the 900 block of West 2nd Street.
