Driver Arrested After Breaching Tinker Air Force Base Gate, Installation Says
A driver was able to breach Tinker Air Force Base on Tuesday after crashing their vehicle into one of the base's entrances, officials say. Officials at the base said at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, a driver breached the Hruskocy Gate, which leads into the base from Interstate 40 via Industrial Boulevard at Tinker Air Force Base.
ODOC mourns death of officer
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections announced today the on-duty death of Corporal Robert Sumner, who worked at John Lilley Correctional Center in Boley. His untimely death occurred after an early morning two-vehicle accident on Sunday, July 14. JLCC Corporal Andrew Freppon was also involved in the accident, and he is currently in the hospital recovering from his injuries.
