    Record breakers and more: South Shore High School Girls Lacrosse All-Scholastic team

    For girls lacrosse on the South Shore, this season was full of record-breakers, personal bests, and scoring. Lots of scoring.

    Weymouth’s Megan Doyle not only broke her own season goal record, but also smashed the school’s all-time points mark, reaching 500 career points. Cardinal Spellman Junior Elle Murphy became the first in school history with 200 career goals, and South Shore Tech saw its first ever 100-career-goal-scorer in Peyton Mathisen

    We had goalie Maggie Keller of Silver Lake make a school record 20 saves in one game, and reach the 500 career-save mark. Notre Dame Academy won the Division 2 state championship for the third straight year and Cohasset brought home the Div. 4 crown.

    A litany of other athletes had personal bests in goals, assists, and points. Here are this spring’s top performers.

    FIRST TEAM

    SKYE CEROW

    Duxbury

    Junior defender earned Patriot League All-Star honors. ... Had 15 draw controls, 20 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers. ... Committed to play at Dickinson College. ... “She is as solid as they come on defense and an absolute force to be reckoned with,” said Duxbury coach Colby Bartro.

    SIOBHAN COLIN

    Notre Dame Academy

    Senior led the 2024 Div. 2 state champions in scoring (70 goals). ... Had 12 assists, 24 ground balls with five caused turnovers and five draw controls. ... Made EMGLCA second team, along with USA Lacrosse All-American and All-Academic honors. ... Will attend Middlebury in the fall. ... “Leading our team in goal scoring this year, Siobhan's shifty footwork and excellent stickwork make her incredibly difficult to defend,” said Notre Dame coach Meredith Frank McGinnis.

    EMMA CONNERTY

    Notre Dame Academy

    Sophomore midfielder recorded 66 goals and six assists for Div. 2 state champs. ... Had 50 groundballs and 113 draw controls to go with 11 caused turnovers. ... First team EMGLCA All-Star selection and USA Lacrosse All American. ... She has verbally committed to play lacrosse at North Carolina. ... “Emma is an exceptional athlete and talented lacrosse player,” said Notre Dame coach Meredith Frank McGinnis.

    CAROLINE CONNOLY

    Hingham

    Junior finished with the second-most points on team (81), with 82 draw controls and 34 groundballs. ... Patriot League All-Star and EMGLCA second team. ... Verbally committed to play lacrosse at UMASS Amherst. ... “Caroline has no quit and has made plays all over the field for us at crucial moments all season long,” said Hingham coach Carla Farkes.

    DANIELLE COX

    Norwell

    Senior captain led team in assists (29) and scored 34 goals (second on team in points). ... South Shore League All Star and 2024 EMGLCA second team All-Star selection. ... She attend the University of Tampa in the fall. ... “Danielle is a natural leader who assisted with developing a young team,” said Norwell coach Kara Connerty.

    CAROLINE CURTIS

    Milton Academy

    Senior midfielder reached the 100-goal milestone this season against Thayer (120 career goals), to go with 50 points and 47 draw controls. ... “She is a one-of-a-kind type player that leads by example and has an amazing work ethic,” said Milton Academy coach Trish Thompson.

    MEGAN DOYLE

    Weymouth

    Senior captain broke her own records in goals (117), points (150), draw controls (259), ground balls (99) and caused turnovers (63). ... Broke the school’s all-time points record (367) and finished her career with 500. ... 2024 US Lacrosse All American and Academic All American and Bay State Conference MVP. ... “She is the ultimate competitor, and elevates each team she is on with her level of play,” said Weymouth coach Kathryn Riley.

    Braintree

    Junior attacker finished season with 103 points (87 goals, 16 assists) and hit 200 career points (245). ... 2024 Bay Conference All-Star. ... “She is a great leader and helps mentor her teammates to become stronger/better attackers,” said Braintree coach Jillian Coene.

    MIRA FLAHERTY

    Weymouth

    Junior captain tallied 69 goals, 12 assists, with 50 draw controls, 36 groundballs, and 16 caused turnovers. ... Voted a unanimous Bay State Conference All-Star. ... Honorable mention EMGLCA All-Star. ...” Mira is a dominant attacker with an extremely high lacrosse IQ, who makes impacts all over the field with her ability to win the draw, control ground balls, and cause turnovers,” said Weymouth coach Kathryn Riley.

    MORGAN GROPPI

    Stoughton

    Senior totaled 114 goals (145 career) and 23 assists. ... Will be attending Franklin Pierce in the fall. ... “Morgan has been an incredible leader her three years in this lacrosse program! She has worked tirelessly to make this program what it is,” said Stoughton coach Alicen Flewelling.

    REESE HANSEN

    Cohasset

    Junior midfielder completed season with 40 goals, 108 ground balls and 115 draw controls. ... also recorded 48 caused turnovers and 12 assists. ... Now has 131 goals, 45 assists, and a total of 176 points in career. ... “Reese is the most versatile player on our team, impacting every game on the draw, defense and offense,” said Cohasset coach Joe Fitzgerald.

    Senior captain made All-NESPAC and All ISL teams this season. ... Most memorable season moment was rallying from a 8-2 deficit to win on Senior Day. ... HCL mentor to middle schoolers and member of the Make-A-Wish Club. ... Will continue her lacrosse career at the University of Southern California.

    JANE HILSABECK

    Notre Dame Academy

    Senior captain reached the 60-goal mark, with 14 assists for the Div. 2 state champs. ... Had 38 groundballs, 10 caused turnovers, and 38 draw controls. ... First team EMGLCA All Star and USA Lacrosse All American. ...     Junior totaled 111 points (75 goals, 36 assists). ... Scored six goals in a game twice and seven goals once. ... Most memorable season moment was scoring her 200th career point. ... “Emily is the catalyst of the BR Girls Lacrosse team and a major reason why the Trojans qualified for the D1 playoffs and won a game,” said Bridgewater-Raynham coach Bill O’Connell.

    Hanover

    Senior captain finished with 62 goals and led team in four major categories (points 90, assists 28, groundballs 38, caused turnovers (27). ...     Cohasset

    Senior finished the season with 58 goals and is the third-leading scorer in program history with 356 career points. ... Had 20 assists, 47 groundballs, 32 draw controls, and 28 caused turnovers in addition to a seven-goal game. ... “Laney has been an impact player since the day she stepped on the field as a freshman,” said Cohasset coach Joe Fitzgerald.

    Hingham

    Junior won Patriot League MVP after missing the 2023 season due to injury. ... Scored 110 points and had five goals against Longmeadow to help the team reach state semifinals. ...     Senior became first player in program history to record 100 career goals (114). ... Co-Mayflower League Player of the Year. ...     Hanover

    Earned 150th career point and 100th career goal this season. ... Had 21 playoff goals, and a season total of 66 goals and 23 assists to combine for 89 points. ... Had 86 draw controls, 29 groundballs, and 18 caused turnovers. ... Scored career-high eight goals in a game. ... “Ayla is our key player in the midfield. She can catch any ball thrown her way and will be the first to win a 50/50 lose ball,” said Hanover coach Marissa Nimeskern.

    North Quincy

    Senior captain tallied 90 goals (179 career) and 31 assists, averaging six points per game. ... Named Patriot League All-Star and was a Patriot League All-Scholastic in 2023. ... “Autumn is an offensive force, her quick speed and hard shot made her very difficult to guard,” said North Quincy coach Marissa McGue.

    HOLLY PANTTILA

    Norwell

    Junior was the 2024 South Shore League Sullivan Division Player of the Year. ... Scored 45 goals (tied for most on team) and led team in ground balls (43) and forced turnovers (28).
