For girls lacrosse on the South Shore, this season was full of record-breakers, personal bests, and scoring. Lots of scoring.
Weymouth’s Megan Doyle not only broke her own season goal record, but also smashed the school’s all-time points mark, reaching 500 career points. Cardinal Spellman Junior Elle Murphy became the first in school history with 200 career goals, and South Shore Tech saw its first ever 100-career-goal-scorer in Peyton Mathisen
We had goalie Maggie Keller of Silver Lake make a school record 20 saves in one game, and reach the 500 career-save mark. Notre Dame Academy won the Division 2 state championship for the third straight year and Cohasset brought home the Div. 4 crown.
A litany of other athletes had personal bests in goals, assists, and points. Here are this spring’s top performers.

Senior captain broke her own records in goals (117), points (150), draw controls (259), ground balls (99) and caused turnovers (63). ...
