Sal Licata sounded off on the inept Giants offense after Big Blue failed to find the end zone in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Vikings to start the season.

“Can they throw the damn ball down the field?” Sal said. “They drafted Malik Nabers, everybody told me Nabers is great, the offensive line is much better, Jalin Hyatt moving to WR2…can you move the football? That is as embarrassing and pathetic an offense as I’ve seen.”

The Giants couldn’t get anything going through the air, as Daniel Jones looked lost in completing 22 of 42 passes with two interceptions, including a pick six on a screen pass. Meanwhile, former Jets failure Sam Darnold completed his first 12 passes for Minnesota en route to a 28-6 dismantling in the Giants’ own building.

“He’s a backup quarterback…he’s not Joe Montana,” Sal said. “Sam Darnold comes in here and is hitting every completion. So why can’t the Giants throw the damn football down the field? Period. End of story. Scoring a touchdown should not be that hard!

“Daboll takes over play calling, and it looks even worse than it did before!”
