Just two weeks into the NFL season, and Gio is already declaring the Giants season dead.

Sunday’s loss to the Commanders was the death knell to the season, as Gio only sees things getting worse with even tougher opponents coming up on the schedule.

“It truly is amazing how the Giants lost that football game,” Gio said. “If they had won and squeaked by, I would have said ‘It wasn’t pretty, but you beat the Commanders. Now you have a tough part of the schedule coming up, and we’ll see if they can get back on track.’

“At 0-2, it’s over. The season is over, and now you wonder how bad is it going to get. Is it going to get so bad that a new regime has to come in here?”

For the second straight season, it feels like any hope of the playoffs is gone after just weeks. This time, it feels over even quicker, and Gio says the rest of the season will be spent examining potential mock drafts and wondering if Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen will even get a chance to draft their own quarterback.

“As much as I like Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, if they can play like that against a bad team and somehow find a way to choke it away, the next portion of their schedule, they have no chance at beating those teams,” Gio said.

“It’s another year where it’s not even October and we’re already writing off this Giants season.”

The Giants need to get ready to draft a Quarterback next years , and see if they can get Bill Belicheck to take the coaching position.
