Brian Daboll was asked about his job security after Sunday’s loss to the Commanders, leading to an icy stare from the head coach after the question was asked, and after he stepped away from the podium.

BT saw it as a warning sign that Daboll’s demeanor with the media, coupled with the Giants continuing to lose, could result in him losing his job, but Sal Licata went off on the idea that reporters are already consistently asking about Daboll’s job.

“What an idiotic question…to ask if he’s worried about his job after Week 2??” Sal said. “They were doing this Week 1. There’s a witch hunt for Brian Daboll!

“I think one thousand percent, the members of the media don’t like that Brian Daboll isn’t buddy buddy with everybody and is short with some of his answers, and the second they have an opportunity to create some drama, they do it.”

Daboll is two years removed from winning Coach of the Year and reaching the divisional round, but he has won just six games since, and questions are rising about his future as the head coach. Sal believes that is ridiculous even from the fanbase, so to have those questions coming from reporters as well is even more inexplicable.

“Every week we’re gonna ask about this?” Sal said. “Does Daboll have to remind everybody that just two years ago he took a crap team to the postseason and won a game?”
