CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — More than $100,000 is being donated across Pinellas County to help fund 18 different athletic programs through Clearwater for Youth (CFY).

It is the first time CFY, a grant funder for other youth organizations, has exceeded $100,000 in its 58-year history.

Each dollar donated will assist in providing support for programs such as youth football and cheer.

The funds will help pay for all or a portion of the registration fees and facility upgrades.

“Every dollar donated through our partners and our donors, we’re putting that money back into the community to serve our youth for today,” said Brooke Bennett, CFY Development Manager and three-time Olympic champion.
