TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A hot, humid summerlike weekend is underway. Although a few storms will pop-up in our coastal counties midday today, the best rain chances will be this afternoon and evening as our weather pattern transitions back to normal.

Outside of any showers that form, it will be quite hot and humid with highs in the low 90s and feels like temperatures 100+ degrees.

Sunday will be more typical with a dry start to the day and rain chances increasing after 1 p.m. A few isolated showers will develop along the coast and then increase in coverage as they drift inland where most of the evening storms will stay.

It will be a little hotter on Sunday with temperatures warming into the mid-90s before any rain develops.

The typical summer pattern continues through next week.

The tropics remain quiet for now with plenty of Saharan dust crossing the Atlantic.
