TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The first showers develop around midday near the coast, and the storms spread inland through the day. The rain coverage will be higher than Monday, but it’ll still be hot and humid when it’s not raining.

Highs reach the low 90s, and it’ll feel more like 103-108 when you add in the humidity.

Some drier air works into the Tampa Bay area tomorrow afternoon. While a few showers pop up near the coast around lunchtime, the rain tapers off earlier in the afternoon as the showers drift inland.

Thursday will also have a slightly limited coverage of storms in the afternoon with a 40% chance of rain.

For the weekend, rain chances increase again, and most of the rain will be after 3 p.m. The storms develop and push toward the Gulf of Mexico in the evening. Since the rain starts later, it will be a bit hotter in the low-mid 90s.

The tropics remain quiet as plumes of Saharan dust drift across the Atlantic.
