New training course teaches Tampa Bay pups to be brewery-ready

TAMPA BAY, Fla. (BLOOM) — Dog moms (and dads) across Tampa Bay, get ready to raise a glass—with your pups! The Dog Moms of Tampa Bay (DMTB) have teamed up with Total Dog Tampa and Drink With Your Dog ® to bring an innovative new training course to the area, designed to help your furry friends master the art of brewery manners.

We all know that dogs and breweries are a match made in heaven, but let’s be honest—well-behaved pups make all the difference. This four-week course, held at P i nellas Ale Works , is specifically tailored for dog owners who love bringing their canine companions to breweries and other pet-friendly spots.

“Drink With Your Dog® is more than just a training course,” says Alyssa Megias, the lead trainer and founder of Total Dog Tampa. “It’s about creating a positive and enjoyable experience for both dogs and their human companions. Our goal is to help dogs learn how to behave well in bustling environments, which ultimately enhances the brewery experience for everyone.”

The course covers everything from socialization skills to basic obedience, with a special focus on table manners—no more begging for those nachos! Your pup will learn how to stay calm and content in lively, often crowded environments, ensuring a smooth experience for all.

Whether you’re a brewery regular or just looking to make your pup the best-behaved dog on the block, this course is a must. Plus, it’s a great way to support local dog rescues, with 25% of registration fees going to a good cause.

Classes kick off on Friday, October 25th, from 6-7 p.m. and run weekly through November 15th at Pinellas Ale Works. Spaces are limited, so be sure to snag your spot soon!
