    Man claims $1M Powerball ticket sold at Florida RaceTrac

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A South Carolina man claimed a $1 million prize from a drawing held on Feb. 1, 2023, at the Florida Lottery’s Tampa District Office.

    Floyd Horner, Jr., of South Carolina, purchased his winning ticket from RaceTrac, located at 24224 US Highway 27 in Lake Wales. The retailer received a $1,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.

    Lottery officials said Horner matched all five white ball numbers but did not match the Power Ball number.

    The Florida Lottery said the next drawing for the POWERBALL is Wednesday at 11 p.m., with an estimated jackpot of $20 million. Results can also be viewed here .

    Since its inception in 2009, POWERBALL has generated nearly $3 billion towards Florida’s public education. The game also features more than $3.74 billion in prizes, with 16 chances to win the jackpot.
