TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A heated road rage incident was captured on camera after police said a man drove his Mercedes “aggressively” around a truck while pointing a handgun at two victims.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Southwest Briarwood Drive.

“The suspect in the black Mercedes for whatever reason consistently was break checking them,” Sergeant Dominick Mesiti said. “He was intentionally hitting his brakes, other than for no reason other than to agitate the vehicle behind him or the driver behind him.”

Officials said Paul Slane, 63, followed the victims into a gated community and drove his Mercedes around the victim’s vehicle before stopping in front of them in the middle of the road.

That’s when the passenger pulled out her phone.

“Should I shoot him?” the victim asked on camera.

Getting out of his car holding a handgun, Slane approached the driver and struck him, and his passenger, through his window, as he demanded her to give him her phone.

“Get out of the f****** car now!” Slane is heard yelling in the video.

“You’re getting arrested, you know this, right?” one of the victims said.

According to police, Slane fled the scene but was later found by St. Lucie County deputies.

Slane was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted armed robbery, and two counts of simple battery, police said.

He is now out of jail on a $105,000 bond.

well at least they're going to take his weapon and he will not be allowed to own another weapon. I carry a gun with me all the time I'm sorry I wouldn't have had the restraint that driver had he had a gun in his hand and could have shot that old man but he didn't. good for him because I would have shot and killed him
