TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Movie fans from the early 2000s may remember Blockbuster, the former global retail chain for movie and video game rentals.

The once-popular chain filed for bankruptcy in 2010, and after buyouts and closures, only one Blockbuster store remains.

Located in Bend, Oregon, the store is a long way to travel for a video rental for most Floridians. Still, residents in Tampa Bay have a chance to get the “Blockbuster Experience” at Tampa Bay Comic Convention this weekend.

The Blockbuster Experience ” is appearing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Tampa Convention Center, bringing nostalgia and a collection of 10,000 DVDs and VHS tapes to “rent FOREVER,” along with movie props, photo ops, and the “Blockbuster smell.”

The experience will also feature merch from “The Last Blockbuster” as well as Sandi Harding, the manager of the last remaining Blockbuster store who was featured in the popular documentary.

Anyone looking to experience Blockbuster can grab tickets to the Tampa Bay Comic Convention online . The convention opens at 12 p.m. today and runs through 5 p.m. on Sunday.
