TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Caspersen Beach Park in Sarasota County is shut down after the road leading into the park was washed out by Hurricane Debby.

Aerial footage from Eagle 8 HD on Friday showed a portion of the road crumbling into the sand.

All park amenities are closed and the public is not allowed to access the area until further notice, according to Sarasota County officials.

“Sarasota County is coordinating with multiple state and federal agencies to develop and implement a plan to repair Harbor Drive South and to restore public access at Caspersen Beach Park,” county officials posted on social media.
