Missing daughter of former Astros pitcher Greg Swindell found safe; ex-boyfriend arrested

AUSTIN, Texas (WFLA) — Brenna Swindell, a single mother of three and the daughter of former Astros pitcher Greg Swindell, was found safe after going missing for several days.

Swindell, 29, was last seen on Thursday night at Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood, Texas, with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, according to Nexstar’s KXAN .

Greg Swindell announced on social media that his daughter was found safe on Tuesday. He did not say where she was found.

“Thanks to EVERYONE who got involved,” Greg Swindell wrote. “Sarah Swindell and I and our family and extended family thanks you.”

In a social media post Sunday, Swindell’s mother, Sarah Swindell, said her vehicle was spotted on I-25 in Colorado on Friday, and possibly in Colorado Springs on Sunday. Swindell’s sister told NBC affiliate KPRC it was also spotted in Boise, Idaho.

Her family believed she was in danger and would never abandon her children. Sarah Swindell described Guidry as being “in trouble with law” at the time of her daughter’s disappearance.

On Friday, a warrant was filed for his arrest in Travis County on a charge of assault by impeding breath or circulation, according to court records. He was arrested on that warrant when Swindell was found overnight Monday.

The sheriff’s office said additional information will be released “as soon as possible,” according to KXAN.
