55-year-old man killed in Largo shooting; shooter identified

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 55-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Largo on Saturday evening.

The shooting occurred at 14922 Crown Drive in Largo around 3:54 p.m., the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

When deputies arrived at the location, they learned the shooting was “domestic-related” and found the victim, Mark Duell, 55, dead from a gunshot wound.

The shooter, identified as 24-year-old Devin Berry, is cooperating with the investigation and claimed the shooting was in self-defense, detectives said.

As of now, Berry has not been arrested and no charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
