The sky will clear overnight as temperatures dip to about average Sunday morning, dropping into the upper 70s. Storms will arrive after 2 pm and move toward the coast with the best chance of rain arriving in the later afternoon and evening here in the Bay Area. Highs will once again rise to the lower 90s.

Scattered storms arrive earlier starting Monday with mainly early afternoon storms lingering into the evening. This pattern will stay with us through Thursday as lows remain in the upper 70s with highs in the low 90s.

A front lingers to our north late in the week which means storms could arrive earlier starting on Friday and lasting into next weekend as highs remain near average, in the low 90s.

There are a couple areas we are watching in the tropics. One in the northern Gulf that isn’t expected to strengthen as it brings rain to the Texas coast. The other tropical wave we will watch closely as it is expected to develop into a depression sometime next week as it moves through the Caribbean. Forecast models take this system into the Gulf, but it appears to stay away from Florida.
