Motorcyclist strikes, kills woman riding tricycle on Pasco County road

DADE CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman died while riding a tricycle in Pasco County overnight, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Around 1:50 a.m. Monday morning, troopers said a 46-year-old Dade City woman was riding a tricycle on westbound Long Avenue.

Traveling behind her was a 43-year-old Dade City man on a Suzuki SX4.

Just west of 15th Street, FHP said the motorcyclist crashed into the woman, who didn’t have lights on her tricycle.

She was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries.

it's high time somebody got off their ass and set up some laws to keep these people off of the traffic thoroughfares. between the little electric scooters and all the other rolling debris that are on our roads, is amazing that we don't have this kind of tragedy every single day. they cannot keep up with traffic, they are a low profile that can't be seen easily pass a law and get these people to safely ride on the sidewalks
