TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The first-ever “ultra-premium” cruise line , Oceania Cruises, will set sail from Port Tampa Bay to a range of new Caribbean and Panama Canal destinations in 2026.

Oceania Cruises, which is owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines, will offer seven to 20-night itineraries to picturesque locations such as St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Tortola, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize City, and more aboard the 670-guest ship “Insignia.”

Retired ocean liner could become world’s largest artificial reef off Florida’s Gulf Coast

The cruise line also gushed that Tampa Bay is the “perfect match” for Oceania as it’s the “world’s only true foodie cruise line.” It also helps that the voyages can be easily accessed by the 41 non-stop flights offered at Tampa International Airport.

We look forward to welcoming new guests to our beautiful city and gateway, as the increased tourism will create substantial economic opportunities for our region, workers, and businesses,” President and CEO of Port Tampa Bay Paul Anderson said.

With 400 crew members aboard the “charming” ship, guests can indulge in gourmet specialty restaurants such as a classic American steakhouse, and Italian venue, boutiques, bars, spa and fitness classes, a casino, and more.
