Man sustains life-threatening injuries in Pinellas County shooting

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man sustained life-threatening injuries after being shot Wednesday night in Pinellas County, according to authorities.

The shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of 79th Street North. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said a man was found shot and he was taken to a hospital.

Deputies said there is no threat to the public. It’s unclear if anyone is in custody.

No other details were immediately available.
