    Polk County woman wins $1 million prize from Publix lottery ticket

    POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Polk County woman claimed a $1 million prize on Thursday after she purchased her winning ticket at a Publix in Haines City.

    Mary Curatolo of Haines City won $1 million from a $5 Million Triple Match Scratch-Off game she got from a Publix at 617 US Highway 17-92.

    Florida woman spends $5, wins $1 million lottery prize

    Curatolo decided to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum of $664,198.00, according to the Florida Lottery.

    The store also received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the scratch-off ticket.

    $5,000,000 Triple Match is a $20 Scratch-Off game that has three ways to play and three ways to win.

    According to the Florida Lottery, the game has two remaining top prizes of $5 million up for grabs as well as five remaining $1 million prizes.

    The overall odds of winning the Triple Match Scratch-Off game are 1-in-2.85.
