Man found dead outside Sarasota home had been there for ‘several days,’ police say

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Sarasota Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead outside of a home on Monday afternoon.

Authorities were called to a home near the 300 block of N Washington Drive around 4 p.m. for reports of a deceased man.

When officers arrived, they said it was apparent the man had been outside for “several days.” He has not yet been identified.

The cause of death is under investigation, but there are no signs of foul play, SPD said. The public is not in danger.
