PALM HARBOR, Fla. (WFLA) — A Palm Harbor man was accused of intentionally breaking his puppy’s leg last month.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said Dairon Molina, 22, injured the dog so severely that veterinarians may have to amputate the leg.

Molina brought the 11-month-old labrador-mix puppy, Rose, to an emergency veterinarian with a broken leg on August 30.

Deputies said the veterinarian determined the injury was not accidental and “would have had to occur from unjustifiable force.”

When questioned on Monday, Molina provided an inconsistent story about how his pet got hurt, according to the sheriff’s office. He was arrested and charged with one count of cruelty to animals.

    He surrendered ownership of Rose.

sick bastard too bad this happened months ago because I'd do something stupid just to catch a charge. Hopefully, I get in the same cell if there's 3 or 4 to a cell just one less because animals show unconditional love it doesn't matter if they have a bad day themselves they still find away to put a smile on your face I can't see living without a pet let alone do Bodily harm to one I give homeless people water for there dog during this heat
