2nd student arrested over alleged threats to Pasco County schools this week

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. (WFLA) — A student was arrested after making online threats against a high school in Pasco County, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

The student faces charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a two-way communication device after posting threats towards Wiregrass Ranch High School on social media, PSO said.

The sheriff’s office said there is no threat to the school and all schools in the area are operating as normal.

This is the second student arrested for online threats this week after the sheriff’s office announced Monday the arrest of a student for threats against multiple Pasco County schools.

PSO also encourages parents and guardians to speak with their students about the consequences of threats made to schools.
