Mother dead, daughters injured in Pasco County crash

LAND O LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) — A Hudson woman has died and her three daughters were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Pasco County on Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.

The woman was driving a Kia Forte eastbound on SR-52 when she turned left at a flashing yellow turn signal into the path of a tractor-trailer driven by a 41-year-old Port Richey man.

The tractor-trailer struck the Kia Forte, causing both drivers as well as the woman’s three daughters — ages 16, 14, and 13 — to be transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.

The woman was later pronounced dead due to her injuries.
