Florida restaurant ranked among 20 best new restaurants for 2024

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida restaurant was ranked as one of the 20 best new restaurants in the entire United States for 2024, according to Bon Appetit, a magazine catered to recipes, cooking and restaurants.

Tam Tam, which is located in Miami, was the only Florida restaurant that made the list.

“Next to a downtown Miami bus stop, Tam Tam is exactly that,” Bon Appetit wrote. “Chef Tam Pham and his husband, sommelier Harrison Ramhofer, have created a funky diner vibe that extends to a bathroom equipped with a hidden karaoke machine. Outside, patrons chill on colorful plastic stools drinking natural wine, while in the dining room they lounge on floral vinyl banquettes and order off a menu that’s Vietnamese with a hint of Miami flair.”

Bon Appetit spent six months traveling across the country to come up with the list. Restaurants that opened between March 2023 and March 2024 were eligible for the list.

The list includes everything from Barbeque restaurants in places like Texas and South Carolina, to Mexican-, Asian- and Italian-inspired dishes in New York, Washington, D.C., Ohio, Tennessee and the Pacific Northwest.
