CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The Clearwater Police Department is hoping an age progression photo may help identify a boy who went missing 24 years ago.

On Sept. 11, 2000, then 8-year-old Zachary Bernhardt went missing in the middle of the night from his apartment, located at 2690 Drew Street.

    This case remains unsolved.

On Wednesday, police released the image, which shows what Bernhardt may look like today.

it's eerie as I know where this is. I don't know how anyone could just snatch a kid. to not know if he's living someplace as another's child or if he was abused and killed must be horrifying for his parents.
