TAMPA (BLOOM) – It’s time to scoop up some democracy—and ice cream! With Election Day just around the corner, Ben & Jerry’s is giving voters a new way to sweeten their civic duty. The new Limited Batch flavor, Churn Out the Vote , is a sweet blend of pretzel swirls, fudge chips, and ripples of chocolate mousse in creamy vanilla ice cream.

This flavor isn’t just about your taste buds—it’s about inspiring action. Ben & Jerry’s is teaming up with Black Voters Matter to get people, especially young voters, excited to hit the polls this November. This partnership is part of a larger movement to engage voters in critical issues like climate change, reproductive rights, and democracy itself. After all, if there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that our votes have the power to shape the future.

    The Scoop (Pun Intended)

Starting now, you can grab Churn Out the Vote at participating Scoop Shops, where part of the proceeds will go directly to support Black Voters Matter’s on-the-ground efforts to engage voters across the country. Plus, if you’re craving more than a scoop, you can pick up a pint of this limited-time flavor in grocery store freezers nationwide. It’s a sweet way to support a great cause.

    Why It Matters

As Palika Makam , Ben & Jerry’s U.S. Activism Manager, puts it, “When young people and people of color are voters, we all win.” Ben & Jerry’s continues its tradition of combining activism with its famous ice cream flavors, hoping to inspire voter turnout among communities that will be most affected by the policies of the next administration.

    A Flavor for a Movement

Ben & Jerry’s isn’t new to using its ice cream to fuel social movements. This is their fourth year partnering with Black Voters Matter, and they’re bringing their unique flavor of activism to the polls once again. They’ll be joining BVM in Georgia to help engage voters on the ground.

Cliff Albright , Executive Director of Black Voters Matter, said it best: “This generation can fight back by refusing to give into cynicism and despair and making their voices heard at the polls. Their votes have the power to change history.”

Ready to Churn Out the Vote?

Mark your calendars for National Voter Registration Day on September 17 , and get ready to celebrate with a scoop of Churn Out the Vote .

So, next time you’re in the mood for a treat, skip the guilt and grab a pint that not only tastes good but does good too. After all, if there’s ever been a reason to have ice cream for democracy, this is it!
