CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WFLA) — An 18-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night for driving the wrong way and fleeing at speeds of 100 mph in Cape Coral, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Around 8:53 p.m., troopers tried to pull a 2018 Dodge Charger over, driven by the teen, for a traffic violation.

However, the woman, identified as Aleigha Rae Dekeyser, “recklessly fled,” reaching 100 mph, with blacked-out headlights and driving the wrong way, FHP said.

A PIT maneuver was initiated on the vehicle and authorities placed Dekeyser under arrest.
