TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Clear the Shelters is over, and more local pets have found new forever homes than ever before!

Clear the Shelters is an annual campaign put on by NBC-affiliated stations across the United States to help promote pet adoption and raise funds for local shelters and rescues.

2024 was the most successful year for WFLA’s involvement in Clear the Shelters, with a record number of 4464 pet adoptions across Tampa Bay. That’s 786 more than last year’s total of 3,678.

However, just because the campaign is over, that doesn’t mean there aren’t fur babies in need of homes!
