Shocking video shows passenger in van push man off bike

NOTTINGHAM, UK (WFLA) — A shocking bike camera video shows a cyclist being shoved off his bike by a passenger in a passing van while on his way to work.

According to Nottingham police, the victim was cycling at around 4 a.m. along a road in Toton, located in the United Kingdom, when a passenger hanging out of the side window of a silver Peugeot van pushed him.

The victim suffered facial injuries, a swollen knee, and bruising to his arms and legs.

The handlebars, brake levers, and the rear axle of the bike were also damaged.

Police are now searching for the man responsible for the March 9 attack.

“This was a nasty unprovoked assault on a man cycling to work. It’s fortunate that he didn’t sustain more serious injuries following this despicable random attack,” the police chief said.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
