Woman’s body with ‘signs of trauma’ found near St. Pete dumpster

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — St. Petersburg detectives are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found near a dumpster on Saturday morning.

According to the police department, a passerby discovered her body just after 8 a.m. in the 3800 block of 15th Avenue North.

Detectives said there are “signs of trauma,” but the cause of death will need to be determined by the Medical Examiner.

No further details have been provided.

This is an ongoing investigation.
