TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Four people are dead and a teenager is in critical condition following an early-morning crash along I-75 in Florida Saturday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Cape Coral man was driving a sedan south on I-75 near mile marker 110 in Collier County around 6:22 a.m., when he went to change lanes and suddenly lost control.

FHP said the sedan crashed into a tree and broke into two pieces.

The driver and two 19-year-old men were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were two more passengers in the vehicle — a 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy.

According to FHP, the woman was critically injured and taken to the hospital where she later died. The boy is still in critical condition.

    The crash is under investigation.
