    North Port police search for suspect who pinned officer between car

    NORTH PORT, Fla. (WFLA) —The North Port Police Department is looking for a man who struck an officer with his vehicle on Monday.

    According to officers, Debahj Grant, 23, was stopped by officers on Prince Boulevard when he reversed his vehicle and pinned an officer between the door jam before fleeing.

    Grant is described as 6’0, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

    The vehicle was discovered empty later in the evening. The Drone Team and K-9 unit have been deployed in the area.

    The officer is OK, according to North Port police.
