TAMPA (BLOOM) – Plans are in motion to bring Tacos & Tequila Cantina to the area. Known for their chef-inspired, unconventional take on Tex-Mex, the popular restaurant brand will expand beyond Southwest Florida, adding locations in Tampa Bay and The Villages in the coming years.
The move comes through a new partnership between HMC Hospitality Group—best known for founding the Hooters concept—and Tacos & Tequila Cantina’s founders, Kelly and Aldo Musico. The deal marks an exciting development for both brands, with HMC Hospitality Group leveraging their experience in hospitality to help grow Tacos & Tequila Cantina in the region.
For residents of Tampa Bay, this expansion promises more than just another place to grab tacos and margaritas. Tacos & Tequila Cantina stands out for its commitment to fresh, local ingredients and quality dining experiences. Their menu, crafted in a scratch kitchen, offers a unique blend of Americana-inspired Tex-Mex, using top-shelf liquors and authentic tortillas. It’s a place where food meets fun, offering specialty drinks, upbeat music, and a decor that celebrates local artistry, making it a community-driven hub.
Kelly Musico, founder of Tacos & Tequila Cantina, is enthusiastic about the expansion. “We are incredibly excited to bring our concept to Tampa Bay,” Musico said. “Partnering with the Original Hooters family feels like a natural fit.
