TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – After such a rainy summer, we have an extended period with relatively low rain chances. While a few showers are possible, they will not be widespread. The rain that forms this afternoon starts near the coast and spreads inland. Today’s rain chance is 30%.

Watch for a few spotty showers near the coast tomorrow morning. Those showers also push east and taper off in the late afternoon. The rain chance remains at 30%.

Rain chances drop to just 20% for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There should be a light northeast breeze which will keep it from feeling overly humid. It’s still hot in the low 90s.

Next week starts out dry, but rain chances may increase by the middle and end of the week. We are tracking a potential low in the Caribbean that may lift north into the Gulf of Mexico. It hasn’t formed yet, so it is way too early to know where it will go, but we are keeping an eye on it.
