    Pasco Sheriff’s Office receives over 100 school threat-related calls in the last two weeks

    NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has received over 100 school threat-related calls in the last two weeks.

    With threats continuing, a student has been arrested for online threats to multiple high schools on Tuesday night, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office said.

    An online threat was made overnight that mentioned Mitchell High School, River Ridge High School, Gulf High School, Fivay High School, and Hudson High School. Hudson Academy had also received the threat.

    The student is being charged with two counts of disruption of a school function and violation of probation, according to Pasco County schools.

    Pasco County Schools said in a statement, school administration and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office take threats very seriously, and to remind children that threats such as these carry real consequences.
