TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Upcoming events have been canceled due to Hurricane Helene as the system makes its way toward the Gulf of Mexico.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium announced it will be closed Thursday, Sept. 26, due to Hurricane Helene.
CMA staff are working to protect their animals facility from tidal flooding, storm surge and winds.
Staind & Breaking Benjamin with special guest Daughtry
MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre has postponed the Staind and Breaking Benjamin show set for Wednesday.
A new date will be released as soon as possible. All tickets will be honored at a new date.
John Crist’s Show at Van Wezel
John Crist’s show has been postponed to a later date due to Hurricane Helene.
Originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26, the show has been moved to Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
All tickets purchased for the Thursday show will be honored on the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, call the box office. The deadline for a refund is Oct. 11.
Museum Day at the Florida State Fairgrounds
Museum Day at Cracker Country is canceled due to Hurricane Helene. Cracker Country and the Fairgrounds are hoping to plan an event in the spring.
The Interrupters at Jannus Live
The Interrupters have canceled their show that was scheduled for Sept. 25.
All tickets will be refunded to fans.
NASA and SpaceX launch
NASA and SpaceX teams have postponed the launch of Crew9 mission to the International Space Station for Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1:17 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 40.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed on Thurs. Sept. 26 for the safety of the animals.
Once the weather has improved, the recovery team will ensure the habitats are safe for the animals to return.
The Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The Florida Aquarium will remain open Wednesday until 5 p.m. and plans to reopen on Friday, Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m.
Anyone who purchased tickets for Thursday can email MoreInfo@FLaquarium.org to reschedule the visit.
James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and All associated VA clinics
Both James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and All associated VA clinics will close for all in-person appointments.
Veterans who cannot be seen virtually will be rescheduled for the next available appointment.
The emergency room will operate as normal.
Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park
ZooTampa will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 26 due to Hurricane Helene.
Following an assessment of the Zoo, ZooTampa plans on resuming normal operations on Friday.
Melissa Etheridge and Jewel at BayCare Sound
The Melissa Etheridge and Jewel concert that was set for Thursday, Sept. 26 has been canceled.
Ticket holders can contact Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall regarding refunds.
