TGH Crystal River closing due to Hurricane Helene

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — TGH Crystal River will close at 6 a.m. Thursday due to Hurricane Helene.

The TGH Crystal River Emergency Center will also close.

Patients who can go home are being discharged, while those who still need care will be transferred to other locations.

The locations will reopen when it becomes safe.

Helene is expected to bring life-threatening to storm surge to much of the Florida Gulf Coast. It’s expected to make landfall as a Category 4 major hurricane in the Big Bend area.
