    Point of distribution sites open across Tampa Bay

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Point of distribution sites open for residents affected by Hurricane Helene.

    Pinellas County

    Pinellas County offers free food, water, and tarps for Barrier Island residents affected by Hurricane Helene.

    Pinellas County has three points of distribution for Barrier Island residents opening Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    The distribution locations are as follows:

    • St. Pete Beach, 4700 Gulf Boulevard includes food, water, and tarps
    • Treasure Island, 10451 Gulf Boulevard includes food, water, and tarps
    • Tierra Verde Fire Station at 540 Sands Point Drive has water only.

    More sites are planned to open.

    Sarasota County

    Sarasota County has four distribution sites throughout the county for residents who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

    Sites will have water, ice, sports drinks, tarps, flood buckets, non-perishable foods, and Meals-Ready-To-Eat (MREs).

    The sites open in Sarasota County are:

    • 1000 Glebe Lane, Siesta Key
    • 100 South Casey Key Road, Nokomis
    • 326 Nokomis Ave South, Venice
    • 8570 Manasota Key Road, Englewood

    Locations will be open from Monday, Sept 29, through Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. while supplies last.
