TAMPA BAY Fl, (BLOOM) – Starting October 4, residents and visitors alike can enjoy the return of the Cross-Bay Ferry , now offering year-round service for the first time ever. The ferry provides a stress-free, scenic alternative to driving between downtown Tampa and downtown St. Petersburg—perfect for commuters, day-trippers, or anyone looking to escape the area’s notorious traffic.

With affordable one-way tickets priced at just $12 for adults, and discounts for seniors, military members, students, and families, the ferry is a convenient way to explore both cities. Even better, group tickets are available at a reduced rate, and children under 4 ride for just $1. The ferry makes it easy to experience the best of Tampa Bay without worrying about parking fees or congested roads.

The ferry departs from its familiar terminals, near the Tampa Convention Center and the Port of St. Pete, nestled in the heart of St. Petersburg’s Innovation District. From the St. Pete port, passengers are just a short walk from attractions like the Dali Museum, the Mahaffey Theater, and Albert Whitted Park, with even more destinations accessible via the free Downtown Looper.

This regional collaboration, spearheaded by Hillsborough County with support from several local partners, is more than just a pleasant boat ride—it’s a key piece of Tampa Bay’s transportation puzzle. By offering a full year of ferry service, the Cross-Bay Ferry gives locals and tourists a reliable and relaxing way to connect with everything the region has to offer.
